I see the peopl emaking payne's 'clamp on' products now have a clamp on mirror ... I guess it wouldn't be hard to have clamp on light bars or single lamps using the same type of mount.

This is another option for those who thing the only way to mount a lamp to arops is with a drill.

Anybody find/try/make their own magnetic mounts? Seems they could be pretty versatile.

I used an old cb antenna mount and put a lamp on it one time. I used the spring and all. The stud for the lamp had a 3/8 mount thread, and so did the flexible spring relief section fo the antenna.. so the lamp sat nicely right atop the spring.... magnetically mounted to my loader frame. I just ran the wires thru spagetti looming zip tied to the loader frame.

Made a great lamp.. branches wouldn't break it off.. it just popped and sprung back. I could reposition it for different angles.. or use it as a drop light for making dark-time repairs... only 35w lamp though.. but still helped a bunch.

I think mirrors are a valuable thing to have on a tractor. I was working one day and was about to get on the tractor to mow when I heard my grandson, "say pretty blue," he had sneaked out of the house and was behind me. I thought what if I had ran over him or he had gotten into the mower. So, I mounted and automotive rear view mirror on the canopy and the stick on ones on the posts of the loader wouldn't be a bad idea either. In addition, I mounted a fan on the canopy. Sure makes things cooler in the summer months here. The more comfort and visibilty you have may just save a child or an animals life or limb. The following is a picture of the little boy and his sister. He was about 4 at the time.

ROPS Mounting I bought a light for my NH TZ25. It mounted on the ROPS to light up the rear. It was 3 pieces. It had 2 U Clamps and a square metal piece. Square metal piece on one end, the light on the other and clamped by the 2 U Clamps or 4 Bolts. Why not use 2 square metal pieces and clamps or 4 bolts and washers to clamp something to the ROPS?

Just a thought. I know the light is firm and a car mirror would clamp using this method.

Just a thought.

Mounting mirrors or lights to the magnetic grounding blocks for welding works pretty well.

I have a light that has a magnetic mount on my B3030 ROPS that I believe came from Northern Tools. It's attached to the underside of the top ROPS bar. That way it does not get knocked off by tree branches and the tractor will still go through the garage door. So far, the light has not fallen off or even moved significantly.

Since it has the magnetic mount and a long power cord, I can easily reposition the light to wherever I need it, even to the front of the tractor.
