CK30HST TLB vs LK3054 TLB

I am thinking about buying the CK30HST. Down the road, I plan to get the BH for the CK30HST. However when I read the info on Kioti web site, they seem to present the LK3054TLB as one that is built stronger for TLB work etc..

Which set up would you prefer?

CjR. That's a hard one as they are both fantastic tractors. That said, I think the 3054XS TLB is probably a better backhoe tractor with the design changes they've made. Not to mention the improved loader setup with grill gaurd and metal lines. The 4 post ROPS is nice as well. The removal sytem for the backhoe, a one lever operation, is attractive as is the ability to move the backhoe back and forth on it's frame.
The CK30 sure offers some very nice features as well, like telescoping lift arms and stabilizers, a higher flow rate etc.
If I were faced with the situation, I'm not sure which I'd choose, but probably the 3054 is better for the BH. Oh well, I'm no help I gaa rone tee. John

After viewing your pics on what you do with stumps, I thought for sure you'd be favoring the 3054. BTW thanks for posting those, they are good. My current land got nothing to dig up. However, I am planning to buy some timber property later. When that happen, I expect to be needing a BH every now and then to deal with stumps. Of course you can tell me that it is far cheaper to contract out the work, but hey a man gotta play sometime. As LadyRider would say, she'd rather have me playing in my woodshop than out cavorting with friends hehehe.

There's no doubt that the LK3054 TLB is a bit beefier. The HST on the CK30, though, will be more efficient when doing FEL work. The LK3054 does have a mechanical shuttle shift. You have to come to a complete stop, clutch, and then move the F<->R lever to change direction. The main running gear is synchronized, however. That allows you to change speeds without coming to a complete stop. It's a tough decision, but in the end you still win. /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif

CJR LK3054XS tractor in my view was built for industrial and commercial use and would make a great rental unit . I also think this tractor was built to compete with Kubota L35TLB. As for the CK30HST TLB well you would have to try and compare both of them to find out wich one your more comfortable with. Shuttle shift Trans are as easy to drive in my view as HST.
