I'm a newbie but been lurking for two plus years and getting closer to buying a tractor to help with maintaining our 10 acres mostly pasture grass, pond and some trees. I have actually been more interested in a Kioti than Kubota for their price and Kubota for their resale until my neighbor got a SCUT(e) B2350.

Looked at Kubotas today, and was steered towards the L2800/3400. I want a CUT vs the SCUTs which seem to cost just as much ($18K for neighbors B2350 with BH, L, & MMM). Plan to plow snow, some grading of pasture, brush-hogging the rougher pasture, moving some material around and general landscaping, maybe extend our drive and parking area.

Prices quoted were:
L3400 $13,900
L2800 $12,600
Front Loader LA 463 $3,500
Ballast Box L8170 $270
60" Brush Hog RCR1860 $1,400
60" Box Blade BB1560 $725
72" HD Box $850
Post Hole Drill PD15 $935
Finish Mower 3pt side AT2672 $2,250
BH75 $6200

Your opinions on these prices and comparison to CK30HS would be appreciated. I am in Maryland. The L2800 price seems pretty good but the increase to the L3400 is higher than mentioned here and the attachments do add up. BTW, the BH 75 was quoted at $6200....ouch !! Dealers advice was to forget the BH and rent one when you need it.

Thanks

Honestly, I don't even want to compare them, as they are not equals.

As far as I'm concerned the CK30 beats both in specs except for the engne and PTO HP of the L3400, but I prefer a heavier tractor than either of the Kubotas.

Price-wise, I guess those are good prices, it's been too long since I looked at the for price.

The CK30 offers more standard equipment, includes main valve and joystick, telescoping hitch arms and stabilizers, more hydraulic flow etc.

I looked at most everything Kubota had to offer 3 years ago when I was buying, and then found out about Kioti. If the CK30HST had been available then, I have little doubt that I would have bought one of those instead of the CK20, but it has far surpassed what I thought it could do.

Jmunekata,
I have the CK30HST and I love it.
I don't know where in MD you're located, but you're more than welcome to come over and try mine out.
My "chores for the next five days:
1) Build a 10x10 deck (Backhoe, PHD, Pallet Forks)
2) Cut the "finished Grass (RFM)
3) Cut the rear field (Bush Hog)
4) Install a 15x20 Paver Patio (FEL, Pallet Forks)
After that, find time to do the 50 hr. service.
Life with a tractor is great /forums/images/graemlins/smirk.gif

Right...you aen't comparing equal machines. The CK30 has so much more standard equipment, weighs more, specs better, etc. The L2800 & L3400 are bare bones tractors, the CK30 is a high feature tractor.

Kioti guys,
Thanks for the good advice.
Dodgeram,
Nice setup (and to do list!) and what I should be looking at:
CK30HST, KL130 FEL w/Toothbar, Rhino 75 BH, Woods 72"RFM, 5' Rotary Cutter, 5' Kioti Box Blade, Woods PHD, Woods 72" RB w/Skid Shoes,
Is that RB a rear snow blower?
I'm in Harford county. Careful, I might take you up on your offer! Who is your dealer?

The features is where I need help. Sitting at the dealer, the L2800, L3400, L3130 all look the same except for the price sheet. I have read here that ease of putting on and taking off the attachments should be a big concern and the L3130 having telescoping 3pt hitch is much easier than without. I read the L3400 brochure and they describe telescoping 3pt hitch. Is this the same or is one hydraulic? Pictures look the same. I read a lot of praise for the A723 loader for the 3130; how does the Kioti KL130 compare to this or the Kubota LA423? How about price?
Definitely sounds like the CK30HS comp Kubota is the L3130 ?
Thanks & now to find a dealer in MD or PA near MD,
moonkat
