CK30H (Bobcat CT230) How to remove fuel tank?

Hi folks. I have a frequent and recurring bogging problem that appears to be debris or water in the fuel tank. Lines have been bled, fuel filter changed, etc.

So, I'd like to take the fuel tank out to inspect inside to make sure there isn't some debris inside that's settling down and clogging the fuel line.

I have a Bobcat CT230 (same as Kioti CK30H) but can't figure out how to remove the fuel tank. I have Kioti service manual but the only place it talks about removing ("separating") the fuel tank is after the engine and clutch has been completely separated (i.e., the front half of the tractor is separated from the back half).

I'm hoping there's a better way but I can't figure it out.

Any suggestions or instructions would be appreciated.

I have never taken mine out, but it seems to all be forward of the firewall.

The Bobcat service manual is supposed to be completely rewritten, but I have only seen small
parts of it. Maybe you should get one, or get your Bobcat dealer to show you his.

So, the helpful "similar threads" section below pointed me to a CT230 post that says it's a 2-3 hour job to remove the fuel tank.

I think I will try disconnecting the fuel line and then draining and then flushing out the tank first before I try removing it.

As far as I know, there is no inside tank filter. Debris either gets through the exit hole or maybe stuck as yours might be. Maybe try using a hand suction pump with a long hose to get to the bottom and see if anything gets sucked up. One thing that has occurred to a few members here is the tank cap wasn't venting causing a vacuum and starving fuel. A few other members have had debris and even a bug in the tank. Pulling the tank doesn't sound like fun.

See if you can buy / borrow / rent one of those small flexible drain cameras. After you drain the tank stick it in and have a look around.

Pull a fuel line, extend it with a fitting, into an empty jug, and pour diesel into the tank to make sure it flows through.

I have the manual and see what you are saying. Never looked hard at it myself but for those that haven't got the manual...
Certainly looks like the engine has to come out first the way the manual shows it.

H. SEPARATING THE FUEL TANK
1. Remove the bonnet wire-harness1(1).
2. Remove the air cleaner(2).
3. Remove the recovery tank(3).
4. Loosen bolts and remove the fuel tank(4). 5. Remove the muftler(5).
6. Remove the bonnet wire harness2(6). 7. Remove the water pipe(7, 8)
