CK30 pring in Canada

My first post after reading the site for awhile.
We are getting closer to laying down the money on a new tractor.

This will be our first tractor, we are just taking over an old farm. Currently we will have a 5 acre field and a 1 acre lawn to manage, clearing of trails and cutting firewood to happen as well. We will be doing some small farming once we get settled into the place.

We are looking at the CK30 HST with loader, will also purchase mower at this time.
We are in Capre Breton and will be by from Dealer just on the mainland. Dear is a established family bussines which selling MF as well. They are said to provide good service and pricing.
Here is what they are offering for prices (plus tax), what do you think?

CK30 HST with FEL - $16995.00
(Free Kioti KL130 Front end Loader with quick attach 60 bucket)

Implements:
Befco 72 Rear Mower $1,995.00

Bush Hog RZ60 $1,195.00

Meteor 60 Snowblower $1,895.00

They are offering free delivery and free 50 hour service. We are 2 hours from dealer. They have service people on the road, so they would come to us for service.

Any idea if these price are OK?

I will be talking to dealer about loading the tires and hooks for the bucket before delivery.

Discounting for the Loonie those prices seem OK to me. That will be a nice set up.

I would personally switch both the bushhog and finish mower for a flail. Do you really need a finish mower on a farm? Flails are in between the other two n terms of performance and those of us who have them have tended to use them for everything other than golf course greens cutting. Your dealer may not stock them and it might be a hassle to reopen your decisions but that would be the only thing I would do differently in your situation.

Brock is a reputable guy with an established business. There was another guy (KiotiKevin) that bought a CK25 from him a couple of years back but haven't seen him on the board for a while. He would vouch for Brock as well. I have a cottage not far from Proudfoot's in Cape John. I paid around $22000 for mine a couple of years ago albeit not from Brock but The Tractor Dome in Milford.

Considering what I laid out last summer I think it is a reasonable deal.
And having service close too. My dealer is about 1.5-2 hours away.

With that much acreage... would you venture to a larger or slightly larger kioti?

Andrew, welcome to the forum, good to have another caper, (I'm from Sydney Mines orginally). Those prices sound fair, but like Lloyd said, for that acerage you may want something bigger. I have the CK25, it's a great machine.

Good to hear the price looks OK, all reports have been great about the dealer.

We are heading to the dealer on Satyrday so my wife can see/try the CK30 out and talk final $ with Brock.

As for the amount of land and tractor size. It would be nice to go a little bigger, but we can't afford to move up now.
Most of the land will remain as it is and grow trees. We will put in walking/ski trails and harvest firewood.
I think we will be OK with CK30.

Looking forward to trying it out on Saturday.

With the current exchange rate of $1 US = 1.24 Can the $16995 CAN is equivilant to $13706 US which isn't much more than I spent on a CK27 gear. Looks like a fair price.

Sorry I took so long but I did some pricing. FYI, I think the price you have noted is a good price for a Canadian dealer. Here in Ontario a CK20 with KL120 loader is pricing out at $15,999 (gear). A CK35 gear w/KL130 is $19,999.
