Hey all, I'm just wondering what kind of oil everyone is using? Synthetic or non synthetic? What kind of weight? Thanks

From my 50 hour service to the current 800 hours, I have used Rotella full synthetic 5W-40. Great on start-up for Winter's single digit temps and for the Summer heat. Other members use other synthetics and non synthetic of various weights. Your manual should give recommendations on weights per a temperature range. From the multiple discussions over the years, everyone uses what they believe is best for them.

I been using Rotella 5w40 since first oil change almost 400hrs ago. I use the same oil in my GL1800 for 107k miles now.

I'm glad to see these replies. I run the Rotella synthetic 5w-40 in my families Toyotas. It has always been great. I plan to change the tractor over to it as well at the first change.
