Kioti CK30
Well my CK 30 is ready for the 50 hr service. I am going to have the dealer do It I think, but I cannot make sense of the manual as far as what is to be done.

Is hydraulic fluid replaced at 50 hrs? I just can't tell from the chart.

Anything else other than filters and engine oil?

BTW the tractor has performed flawlessly.

Les,
I didn't pay much attention to the book but took the advise of everyone here and changed both the Hydraulic fluid and oil as well as all three filters. That was about three weeks ago, and I've put another 20 hrs on it since. I'll be doing the fluid and filter changes (100 hrs) by August:)
No problems here either:D

My 50 is comming up soon, and everything will get changed. I didn't dicker with the price, but told my dealer if he threw in free delivery and the 50 hr, he had a deal...so he will be doing the first one. I would hope that alot of other stuff gets checked along with the 50hr, so on a new machine it's not a bad idea. I am going to pay the difference and have all synthetic fluids installed....gives me the warm and fuzzys......

On my 50 hour service, I did all three filters, engine and hydro oil, and front axle gear lube. You will be surprised at the metal shavings on the magnetic drain plug for the main hydro oil drain. Other than that, everything else was just checking, adjusting, and cleaning as per the manuals service recommendations.

I did my 50hr service, no big deal I replaced all filters and fuilds. I would suggest if you do your own have a big oil drain pan handy. Recheck your book for the proper amount of fuilds needed, I didnt do that on my 100hr service and thats not good.

I am just ablout to do my 50hr, too. Note that Kioti put hyd oil in the
front axle at the factory. The manual calls for gear oil. This may
have been intentional for break-in. It has been true for both CK30s I
bought, as well as for the new CK20 I just picked up.

Well, the chart in the manual is ambiguous. Mine is a ck30 gear, and dealer says transmission fluid is first changed at 100 hr. I don't know about the front axle. I'm just having them drive up with the filters...and a new BEFCO finishing mower! Comes tommorow.

I think I should call the factory on this one since the manual chart is basically unreadable.

The only service I did at 50 hours on my DK 35 was greasing the machine, and a motor oil and filter change.
Hydraulic oil, hydraulic filter and front axle was done at 100 hours.
Changed my Air filter at 200 hours. Fuel filter at 4 or 500 hours.

I did not see a phone number on the Kioti site so I can't call and ask.
The dealer delivered the oil and filter kit yesterday, so I'll go ahead and do the service. They also delivered a BEFCO 72" finishing mower, and it looks very nice. Can't wait to try it....may play hookey from work to change oil and mow!

There is a contact system that uses an email type form on their site. It is not easy to get phone numbers for Kioti but the response to their email system is decently quick. I would ask them to get an answer from the horses mouth. Their responses usually include a contact phone number.

I'm not at home right now, but I just read it this weekend because I'm getting close, and I'm sure that the CK25/CK30 service manual has you replacing all three filters, the Hyd oil, the engine oil, and the front axle oil.

   / CK30 50 hr service question #12
Gear tractors may not require the hyd oil and filter changes
at 50hr. The HST CKs clearly state on the tractor to change
HST filter, hyd filter, and oil at 50hr and every 200hr hence.

50 hrs and then each 200? So at 250 I should have dumped the hydraulic oil? Uh oh, I need to check that out.

The manual has mistakes. It says for HST, chg oil at 50hr and every
200hr after that, but the table puts chgs at 50hr, 200hr, 400hr, etc.
It should be 50hr, 250hr, 450hr, etc. It also says 50hr and 400hr for
you guys with gear trannies (see # 5 on p 9-2).

For the motor, it says chg eng
oil at 50, 100, 200, 300.... It should say 50, 150, 250,.... Filters every
other oil change? Not on any vehicle of mine......

Yes, I agree on BS for the every other oil change change the filter bit. The oil filters are cheap. I also call BS on washing a paper air filter but that air filter is 50$ and gets dirty fast. I might have missed my HST oil change interval so I will be looking into it. Thanks for the reminder, I did change the HST and hydro filters at 200 hours though.

So as not to get anyone worried as I was, my manual for the CK30HST calls for trans fluid CHANGE at 50 and then 400, 800, and every 400 therafter. At 50, 200, 400, 600, 800 and every 200 thereafter the filter only needs to be changed.

Phew, I thought I had missed an interval and I am a maintenance freak. I even change the brake fluid in my truck every two years.

   / CK30 50 hr service question #17
Yeah, technically page 9-2 does not differentiate betw trans types.
The sticker under the seat and the manual only talk about filter changes
for the HST & hyd, not fluid. That would mean at 50, 450, 850hr for fluid.

Well, i'm doing the 50 hour now. in my kit was a hyd filter (this is a ck30 gear) and I changed it. They said I would loose a small amount of fluid, but it was less than a cup. I did not change the fluid per their recomendations.

Here's another one....bleeding the fuel line. Kioti tech says I have to change filter, set petcock to air, run 30 seconds, stop, and set petcock to open. He also says I have to open a screw vent on the injector pump during that 30 second run, then close it. There is nothing in my manual about the screw valve, although he says it's in his manual. What gives? I'll hold off on that till I get some input from you guys on that. Well, on to the air filter, checking torques, and greasing.

Oh the 274 ft lb rear wheel lug torque has got to be an error...but we established that a while back. I'll do a search on that one.
