Tractor
Kioti CK2610 TLB, Gill 5' Scraper Blade (Tilt/Angle)
Just got the tractor back from the shop, after 4 months of waiting. Front pinion gear went out and locked up the front end.

Now, after two days of having it back it just sputters and stalls out and dies.

I'm hoping, maybe you all can point me in the right direction. That this is just a fuel supply/filter issue.

Should I start with new filters and just do a service on it? I'm about 20 hours from the next service cycle (Except Hydraulic fluid replace just filter).

Oh and the tach stopped being correct, it jumped up to about 1800 rpm. 1800 rpm is the new zero, not sure where to start on that either.

Just recovered from shoulder surgery and now I'm fighting the tractor again....ugh

Does sound like a fuel delivery issue to me. I would start by making sure I had good flow out of the tank. Then I would replace fuel filter. If problem is still there after that, I would look closely at the lift pump. Finding the problem should not be that bad.

I'm hoping it's just filters. Anything more, I'm having an issue with a service/shop manual. I need a manual to dig further into the tractor. Warranty is expired, so it's on me now.

I'm with K5 on the fuel issue. Also, on the tach issue, try wiggling the plug behind the dashboard to see if fixes the issue. There was a thread sometime ago with another Kioti tractor with the same issue. Turns out, it was a bad connection behind the dash but I can't remember if was the plug or just on of the pins of the plug.

Thanks, I will look into that when I add my LED lights to it. Might as well do some work on it while waiting for filters to arrive.

The manuals are not that big of a deal. Like Dad use to say, if it don't fit, it don't go there.

No worries. Diesel engines are just like gas minus the spark. If it can get fuel and compression at the correct times, it will run. Just dig into it and come here for questions. Plenty of guys will be willing to help.

Sure sounds like a diesel fuel issue. While parked at the dealer for 4 months, your fuel tank most likely recieved some water condensation. Now that water has moved to the filters. It does not take much to partially block the diesel fuel from your engine. Thus the sputtering issue.

After changing your fuel filter, fill your tank full with new diesel. Then work your tractor hard for an hour to move that new diesel into your filter and helps flush any minor water that maybe remaining.

I get the filters in the mail tomorrow. Plan to do the work Tuesday and run it afterwards. Fingers crossed!
