Someone should point out that the previous Daedong website said that in 2002-2003 Kioti sold 3000 units into the USA. Far from the 25,000/yr you had guessed. Even if they have grown 25% (alot considering the industry is down this year) and figure maybe 20% of those machines are CK20/CK30 thats 800 units a year, if 3/4 have loaders than there are 600 in the field per year.

We are Batchelder
but Dick (my dad ~ the owner) started out welding, so when something needs to be welded, it can be done properly.

As far as my opinion (and I have many /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif) it'll have to wait til Monday, as I am going home.

We are Batchelder
but Dick (my dad ~ the owner) started out welding, so when something needs to be welded, it can be done properly.

As far as my opinion (and I have many /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif) it'll have to wait til Monday, as I am going home.

I think everyone can take a deep breath now...{in}......{out}, for it was a combination of us barking, Highbeam's letter, and the Dealers on this site that got the ball rolling in the right direction. I really think that Kioti will learn something here in managing this type of problem. Hopefully the next time(yep i said it...it can happen) they will respond differently. We have to keep in mind that just a few years ago, this type of communication/info exchange could not have taken place. many mfg's and companies have yet to take advantage of forum type info. I vote that Kioti hire Island.....a dollar a thread read? /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

I recieved a Fax today from Kioti, addressed to all dealers, stating that the problem has been reported to them and that engineering is working on a solution and that they will advise us when that is ready. The Fax indicated that no failures of these loaders have been reported. Becky's post about engineers visiting thier facility seem to confirm that Kioti is in fact responding, to this issue. I personally have no reason to doubt that they will handle this situation properly...given reasonable time. My point is they are communicating with the dealers. The information is now also in the dealer only portion of the Kioti website, as are all service bullitens, marketing programs etc.

I sincerely hope this is the end of this whole bruhaha. Looks like they have heard the complaints and are responding appropritately. Obviously Kioti still needs to come through with the appropriate repair but it finally looks like they understand that there is more to running a tractor company than just engineering, manufacturing and sales. I do hope the leaders of the company will give more attention to early communication in the future. The nature of business in the internet era simply demands different timelines and priorities over how things happened in the good ole days. Three cheers for whoever it was at Kioti that finally decided to fax the dealers.

Now, let's get back on our tractors and get some seat time rather than spending our days at the keyboard. /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif
