How come there isn't alot of messages on the CK20s tractor anymore? Is anyone buying these anymore? Used to be a lot of posts on them - but not anymore. Did everyone move up to the 30 or higher? I have been looking at tractors on this site for years and finally have the go ahead to buy one. I liked the CK 20s hst - and the Bobcat version - doesn't seem to be much chat on Bobcat either. What gives? Should I just get a Kubota BX25?

You could look at it as good news. Maybe all of the other CK20 owners are just happily using them like me. Mine is a gear.

You can't compare a CK20S with a BX25 .....
one is a CUT the other one is a SCUT

The CK is a way much bigger/stronger/beefier/everything tractor .

Had mine for a little over three years, no issues. If anyone is making a better 20 hp tractor, it must be awsome. If I had to do all over again, I would by the same tractor without looking back.

I see that as a good thing as well. Rarely does anyone come to a forum like this just to say they are really happy with their purchase and how great it has been. BUT that one time it fails or has a problem, they will post on every single related and even some unrelated forums. Less post about the mighty CK20 just means the owners are spending more time working WITH them instead of ON them.

The BX series doesn't even come close to comparing to a CK20 unless your looking for a dedicated mower or something you can tow behind a car.

I do agree that the CK20 is alot more tractor than the BX25 - I shouldn't have brought that up in this thread. I guess what I am saying is that there hasn't been anyone on here lately saying they are buying one. Go to Kubota or JD or others and you constantly see new guys buying them. I also disagree about people not coming here and saying how great their machine is. That is what I am talking about - no one is doing that anymore about the CK20. So I was just wondering why? Did I miss something awhile back about them. I am looking to buy a tractor and want to continue to do my homework. I'll start a new thread on pricing.

I've just ordered a CK20 HST. I won't pick it up until May as my "need" coincides with a move from a small lot to a larger property with long gravel lane way. I won't be using it for mowing though. For that I've ordered a Toro ZTR.

I used to post a lot on the CK20. Sadly I had to trade it in to get a bigger Kioti. If I could have justified keeping it I would have. It was and is a temendously capable and strong machine. I consider myself a lifetime member of the CK20 Fan Boy Association.

That said, I'd also love a BX23/24/25. Those are also very useful and well built SCUTs. I think the smaller lighter BX is probably better suited for "around the house" work while the CK is clearly better once you get to the field or woods. Both are excellent.
