I have been lurking for about 2 weeks and thought it was time to post :).

I have a new CK20S and love it. One problem I am having is where can I put my chainsaw + gas + oil? For now I am just putting it in the front end loader but it has bounced out once and I don't really like seeing it move around so much. So my question to you is where do you put it? Does someone have a cool / easy mod?

Some TBNer's purchase carry all than add deck etc. or make there own carry all to fit there needs.

Try search also pics for ideas.

Congrats on the tractor and Welcome to the Pack!

Do you have anything mounted on the rear of the tractor, on the 3-pt hitch? If not, some people have bought or built a box that can mount to the hitch so you can put all your stuff in and carry it easily.

Check out this thread for some ideas including one REALLY NICE wood built unit by ae ted.

The 20 is a great little tractor, but I have the same problem, no place to put a tool box. If you have the BH on you are really out of luck since the seat of the BH is right up against the SMV sign bracket. I took the SMV sign off and hung a mason's bag over the bracket just to keep a few tools, gloves, pins, etc in there. That little tool box under the driver's seat is pretty worthless except for a pin or two. Seems like I always have something in the fel bucket or the BH bucket.
I hope you get a solution offered to help all of us 20 owners out.

Sorry about that I should have been clearer (Or complete my sig :)). I do have a Backhoe. One of my thoughts was to make a box but that would mean having to remove / put back the BH more than I would like. Also when I am in the woods I tend to use the BH to remove the stumps.

I don't think any tractors have much room for tools. But as a carpenter, I'd have to suggest building up. Use the ROPS.

My DK45 has a cab and I put my (small) fuel and oil cans inside the cab, way off to the sides by the doors. I have a carryall box with a wooden chainsaw scabbard. Obviously, the carryall box approach won't work for you because of the BH, but I bet you could put together a nice scabbard that would strap or bolt to the tractor somewhere. A bit more elaborate version would incorporate holders for fuel and oil containers. As long as the arrangement doesn't interfere with moving parts, and isn't out of reach or sticking out too far to the sides, you should be good to go.

I have a ck 20 as well and a similar problem. I always have a blade or box blade on back. I was looking at putting something on the hood, fastened on to the cross member for the FEL. Itwould have to be easy to remove as I always remove my battery. I have several ideas, just a set of brackets that I can bungee cord stuff to, sheet metal that has holes that slip over bolt heads...etc. Once the snow gets here I make something. I hope I hear a good idea here.

I like the idea of building on the ROPS as long as it is not someplace you'd likely hit your head.

I can't think of anywhere else you could put something.

I end up using my hoe bucket.

My CK20 with FEL and a backhoe cart the whole nine yards. I keep my protective sheath over my nice sharp chain and bar and stick that and a small gas can in the backhoe bucket. A bungy strip works fine to hold an axe or log tool (tongs etc) right aboard the floor in front of the backhoe stand.
