Sorry to be late to the party but I would also throw my hat into the CK20 pile. I loved mine. My only complaint was the lack of middle range hydro but I'd get one anyways.

Yes, it can use a light duty grapple and does a great job with it. You'll need a QA to pin adapter mount. The adapter I had was overbuilt and from Horst but I believe Kioti adapters for the CK30 might fit the CK20. There are also some dealers (Rick Wallace at least) who sold simple light adapters that would work fine.

On the gear vs hst issue: I had the HST and even though the absence of middle range was frustrating at times (mowing up slopes for example), I did so much loader/grapple work that I'd get it again. If I was mostly mowing or doing ground engagement tasks in large clear spaces with hills, I'd think hard about the gear version.

Frankly I cannot understand why Kioti has not upgraded the HST yet. Their main competion Kubota upgraded the B series to three range HST over a year ago.
