Kioti CK20S HST and Gravely walk-behind (2 wheel tractor - 700 lbs.).
So, the dipstick for my engine oil has always seemed like a very loose fit to me. I got more concerned after a recent leak that some stuff might work its way into the dipstick hole, especially with the dipstick moving a bit loosely (i.e. it easily jiggles side-to-side in the hole). When I looked up Kioti parts for this, you see the picture: shows something completely different! I'm wondering if mine is a different revision, OR if the dealer replaced it with this type when he put in the block heater for me just prior to purchase. The latter could make sense, since the type shown in the parts diagram might not fit well there with that block heater accessory (see pics, and some text on pics).

If you have a CK20 or some pertinent knowledge about this, please respond.
Thanks in advance, -Mitch

P.S. I'm considering using some make-a-gasket glue to create a better fit, but I'm concerned that nothing (including bits of that "rubber", after dried) go down that hole. Any suggestions?

I don't have my 20 anymore..the dipstick I had was the one in the factory diagram.

I don't have a CK 20 but your analysis is correct. The dipstick shown in the diagram will not work well with the block heater and the new one is redesigned to facilitate the heater. Looks like they undersized the rubber sleeve if the fit is loose. Have you talked to your dealer about the issue?

I wonder if part #9 from the diagram is supposed to be used with the new dipstick. Maybe it has a smaller i.d. and the rubber plug on the dipstick would fit it better.

Wow, I sure hope not. If that is the case, then my oil will have been underfilled all this time (Since the part #9 would raise the dipstick). But it is a possibility, and also, that part 9 sleeve would keep stuff from leaking into the hole.

No, I have not contacted my dealer about this yet, but sounds like I should soon (dealer is quite far from me; very little interaction needed since I bought tractor in 2012).
