Ck10Series cab "aux" question for music

Good Day, I just ordered a new ck2610SE and I didnt buy a radio as I saw it had an AUX port which is what I would want ideally to be able to play music off my phone. I was watching a video and the guy mentioned the AUX does not work well at all, anyone tried this out and could share how it works?

Sounds like I may need to install a stereo after all

The AUX should work but in general the radios that are installed by the factory are usually low quality. When I bought my tractor the first thing I did was to replace the crappy radio. Surprising the speakers were not too bad so I kept them for now. I don't use a wire via AUX though, I use Bluetooth. You don't have to spend a lot of money to get decent sound quality. I bought a Dual mechless unit that has very good sound quality for $25.

The AUX works ok, you just need a phone or device with a 3.5mm headphone jack and a cable with the same connector on both ends. Basically it just uses the speakers like you would headphones, the volume is controlled by your phone or device. The sound quality probably isn't as good as with a proper head unit, I don't have one yet for mine.

I'm not certain I understand your question.
If you specifically WANT an aux connection from your phone to the radio, then yes, the music quality will be as good as from the radio head itself.
My preference is Bluetooth from phone to radio for the convenience and lack of wires. Right now I plug a Bluetooth device into my radio aux jack and stream the iPhone. The audio quality over Bluetooth is the same as cabled.

My tractor has no radio, I did not buy one. it has the AUX on the console to plug in. I did not buy the radio so was looking for feedback on the aux jack specifically. apologies for the confusion.

I see now. I would have assumed that the dash mounted aux jack was just a convenient extension from a radio. I would be surprised if the remote jack works without a radio being installed, but hopefully someone with that tractor can shed some light.

I don't know what other manufacturers offer for radios, and at what cost, but I do regret ordering my Kubota with the OEM radio. Very expensive and lacking features. In hindsight I should have installed my own radio with the features I want (mostly Bluetooth).

I have the ck3510-se hc with no radio installed, I wasn't sure the aux would work without but it does. I do plan on installing a head unit this spring/summer for the bluetooth convenience.
