One of our key tractor tasks is a reversing rear snowblower. I'm wondering with the CK series whether the side stabilisers are up to this. Looks like they only work until tension so at any one time only one would have to carry the whole load. And importantly are the attachment points in line with the lift arm pivots, so they stay snug as the lift is raised or lowered?

The last point is a failing with our existing tractor, the stabiliser pivots are above and astern of the lift arm pivots.

Thanks.

I leave my stabilizer arms loose so the implement can move independent of the tractor. Have never worried about using snow blower and pushing on 3 point. Would be far more concerned back blade in dirt since this would induce far more stress.

Thanks. My experience with our current tractor is that it's a pain trying to keep the snowblower straight if there's any sideways play. Which there always is with its arrangement.

I adjust to near zero side play for almost all implements. You are correct that the check chains restrain movement one way, but having the lower arms tight against the implement lynch pins should make it pretty solid side to side. My blower is real heavy, and I would not want it slamming from one side to the other in use.

I replaced my turnbuckles with telescopic stabilizers; they're Kioti, but the piece there attached to is Kubota. These are much more stable for operating in reverse.

I believe the CK-SE models have these, but mine is a non-SE model and came with the turnbuckles.
