So, managed to do this while working over the weekend...
Anyone know of any way to either re-locate the ignition switch or somehow put some type of guard over it to prevent this from happening again? I can only stock so many spare keys...
This is what I did on last one and fixed the problem of banging it with my knee. A simpler way but similar would be to cut the key to min length, slot a half dollar coin, and then attach as I did. Even if you do bump it, no leverage to bend it.
No, my knee isn't that tough. When I do that. I just end up with a bruise on my knee. This happened while climbing off the tractor and bumping it with my boot.
I like the knurled knob idea. I'll pick up an extra key or two to 'experiment' with.
ck35 done exactly the same thing, poor design this spot. how do i get the rest of the blade out??? tweezers??? dont think long nose pliers will cut it.
