From what I have been reading about diesels and oils it seems the most common thing is regular oil and filter changes with a good quality oil rated for diesel. As for Dino vs synthetic oil there seems to be lots of differing opinions, and plenty of valid reasons for choosing either.
I contacted the folks at Kioti and they are going to have a technician contact me with regards to my interpretation of the maintenance schedule printed on the inside of the supplied owners manual.
