CK 20hst over revving

Hello I need some help, this winter on several occassions my ck 20HSt overrevved for a moment while clearing snow

I had to shut down and re start as there was no throtle control

Any advise on what could cause this and how to repair

now when you say no throttle do you mean you can not idle down? as far as over reving i dunno what to tell you. but if the throttle is sticking i have seen that a few times. Look on top of the injection pump on the tractor and you will see a plate on a pivot with the cable attached. Spray some good grade oil on the pivot and move it with your hands a couple of times and your problem shoould go bye bye

Sometimes what you describe is a bad or failing injector rack. This can be dangerous to operate and could even damage your engine. A stuck throttle won't "rev" by itself. Better get it checked out by a dealer.

What I meqan by no throttle control is that when I throttled down the engine kept up the revs

I did check the cable and it works fine.
At the time this happened I had been clearing snow at an rpm of 2500 the engine just went into high revsand the only way to slow it down was to turn it off , then restart to get control... This happened twice, Thought maybe it was because of the cold
