Tractor
Current Kioti CK27HST and Cub Cadet 1810. Previous NH1510 Hydro, AC D14, Oliver 1355?, and JD 314 Lawn Tractor
Last I heard the CK20 were in transit from manufacturing plant. Are they in customers hands being used yet?

Do many dealers have them in stock?

My dealer (central Alabama) says they are one to two weeks away from delivery. It's mine for $10,500 if I want it after I've looked at it. My CFO is starting to get cold feet about the investment, however. /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif

Are any extras included for that price quote?

Mine supposedly left Korea the week of 3/17-3/21. I've no clue how long till it gets to the East Coast.

Thanks for the updates.

Looks like we should be seeing a few CK 20's soon.

Any guess who will be our first "TractorByNet" group member to own one? We expect to see the pictures of the new toys (I mean work tool) posted soon.

By the way I am thinking that Mathey is the front runner to be the first TractorByNet person to have a CK20 at home with B old B's CFO starting to get cold feet. B old B I think Dinner and flowers are a good thought for the CFO. Better yet just get the tractor and you will be using the new tractor so much that sleeping with the tractor or on the couch will not seem as bad.

Hey Spanky, don't give up on me yet! I just got through letting her spend $30k remodeling the house, so I think $14k isn't too much to spend on a tractor. Right? I had a guy come over and cut the grass (or weeds) yesterday...took him 5+ hours, and I made her write the $175 check out to him. Maybe the thought of doing that once a month will encourage her to invest in the tractor. Question: if it took this guy 5 hours on his 46 hp Ford, how long will it take me on a 20 hp tractor? Maybe the CK 20 isn't enough?

Hey BOB, was that 2WD or 4WD Ford? Figure a 40% gain with 4WD. What size mower did he use? Was the work paid by hour or job? If you get things caught up, will the cutting go easier?

Still, you are asking the right question, A smaller tractor might take you too long to do what you want. Part of the reason I am upgrading...

It was a 2wd. Yeah, I figure that he was doing much of the hard work that I won't have to do very often...he was backing down to the pond and cutting down some 2" to 3" trees...the property hasn't been cared for in several years and this was the first good bush hoggin' it's had in a while. I'm still set on the CK 20.

Bigold...How much land will you need to be mowing on a regular basis?

Everyone will think I'm nuts, but I have 20 acres. About half is in Christmas trees, so I needed somethin narrow enough to fit down the rows. The biggest mowing portion is 5 acres that will be horse pasture, so that will only need to be "touched up" every few weeks or so. Plus I have 4 other operators in the household, and 3 of them are women, so I needed something managable for them to use and feel comfortable.

Bottom line? I'm still set on the CK20 too!

hey, if I get mine first, do I win a prize? /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

I have been in similar situations with a Yanmar and 4' hog. I think you will be really happy with the CK20 (especially if you lose it to those other operators and have to buy two...)

Looks like you have a good plan in having the CFO write out the checks for someone else to mow where you should be getting the tractor time. That combined with her other expendutures should have you close to the tractor. You might be running even with Mathey on being the first of our TractorByNet group to post your own CK 20 pictures.

This brings back memory of my first tractor purchase (1520 Ford). We needed to have rough/finish grading, large amount of fill dirt with top soil added, then seed over one acre. Quotes were 3000$ with 2000$ being fill, topsoil, and materials. Convinced my CFO that if I had tractor with box blade we could save the 1000$ labor and put towards tractor (my soon to be new toy). Later we moved to another city and did not have any property to use tractor on and sold tractor. Now moved again an looking for another tractor. Trouble is CFO thinks her furniture purchase should come before tractor. I best start looking for the furniture.
