We have a dozen weeping willow trees and I am constantly picking up debris from these trees. Several times each year, I have to rake the branches and whips into windrows and then move them to the burn pile. I have been looking at chippers/shredders and am concerned that the flexible whips might not be easily processed. Has anyone used a chipper/shredder on willow debris? If so, what make and model worked for you? Thanks.

I have willows and what a pain they are with the branches. I own a Bandit chipper 2cyl and it eats up the stringy willow branches. One thing is they tend to wrap up around the feed wheel. I try and feed the "whips" into the hopper and push them in with larger branches.

A chipper will work

I am in the process of getting rid of a few willows this spring. Can't wait.
