Actually I have been impressed with the Mahindra 2015. With a FEL and Howse rear mowing deck I was quoted $11,100.00 delivered. A little less money than the Kubota B7510. What I like about the 2015 is that it is several hundred pounds heavier and its "footprint" is larger than the Kubota.

Cub is all over the place. Some of the larger ones are rebadged Kioti. I know the Mahindra 15 series Mitsu's used to be sold as Cubs too, and I think Cub might have one Mitsu still in ntheir lineup (not sure about that). Some of the new Cub sub-CUTS are mfg in the U.S. with Korean engines (Diahatsu I think. But again, not sure).

I am certain that none of the Cubs are made in China, though.

I don't think any of the major brands are rebadging Chinese tractors to sell in the States. A few are rebadging Chinese tractors for sale in foriegn (primarily third world) markets, but they won't find their way here until the overall quality comes up a bit.

I do believe we'll see the day, but not for a few years.

I remember seeing a gas engine cub a few years back on a dealers lot. Anyone got info on that model. I was quite shocked to see a gasser.. new.

The Cub Cadet 5000 and 7000 series tractors are Japanese made Mistubishis. Cub and Mitsu have had a long standing relationship with Mitsu as a contract builder for them.

The Cub Cadet 8000 series tractors are simply re-badged & repainted Korean made Kioti DK 35, 40 and 45's respectively. Kioti is Daedong in other parts of the world, but Kioti here in the US. They have the same features, engines, etc. The only real difference is the paint and the logo.

I think your info is a little outdated, Bob.

Those tractors (the 5000 series) are now mfg in the states using various engines. Diahatsu and Cat in the diesels, Kohler in the gas.

Okay, I'm editing this. I was wrong about the Cat, its available in the 6000 series.

But aren't Cat and Diahatsu somehow affiliated now? /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif

My information on the 5000 series may be out of date.

Just out of curiosity, who is making the 6000 series?

If you have narrowed it down to those choses then my recomendation is it depends. If you will mostly mow, I think the 7510 is better. It is lighter and higher hp (I think). If you will be doing more utility, ground ingaging work, get the Mahindra. The added weight will be a benifet.

I Own a china tractor, (3 ys now and barely a thing broken on it yet!) it is a JINMA ( known by names of farm pro, nortrac and about 50 other names) it is most widely imported brand in the sub 35 hp range by far. great little gear drive tractor and saved thousands $.

anyhow I know lots will bash them and say what ever but they usually DON'T own one or seen one very close...

You can post down in the china forum for actual answers to questions form actual owners of them.

I was wondering if your looking at grey market Japanese verses the current Chinese tractors? Then I would see a price that close. But if your looking at new Japanese made tractors with only $1000 more in price, one is either cheap (Japanese) and/or the other is really high (China).

If its new Chinese compared to repainted grey market stuff those with experience on these could comment.

thx
Jim
