Kama 454 w/Kokyer 195 loader
I'm getting ready to import a Kama 454. Has anyone had any experience with Chinese implements. Most specifically the TZC05 loader or LW-7 frame mount backhoe?
For that matter any feedback good/bad on china FEL/Backhoes. Are they as adequate as their tractors?
Thanks
Anthony

Scozz, welcome to TBN. I have a TaskMaster 432 with the Chinese loader and backhoe. Isn't the Kama made by DFAM too? Anyway, I've used both a lot since I got my tractor and they have performed very well. I've removed numerous stumps with the backhoe, used it to dig the footers for my garage (24x30) and moved alot of dirt and gravel with the loader. So, from my perspective, they work great. The only "problem" is that they are real responsive, so it takes a little bit to get used to how quick they move. Some of my outbuildings have some unusual scars on them... /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif

Good luck.

Thanks for the info Dave did you get the TZC loader?
It may take some persuading for me to get over the unsightlyness of the TZC. The pictures I've seen on the net make them look like they were built from a kit in a garage! But if they perform I'm surei it will grow on me!
Did you purchae your tractor stateside or import it yourself?

We have imported a couple of the smaller TZ04 chinese and to be honest I was less than impressed. control valves are stiff and the hydraulic connections tend to leak. Overall is crude, as you said it , made in the garage appearance. We have standardized on Koyker loaders since. A little more expensive to be sure, but I really think it makes for a better tractor. The LW backhoes are not too bad, touchy control valves but very reasonably priced. A good compromise for the occasional user.
I have Koyker 195 loaders in stock to fit the KM454 as well as assembled KM454s with a good spares inventory to support the tractors we import. If you decide to import your own, I would avoid blue right now as there has been some reported difficulty importing blue tractors from China because of a NH trade dress issue from last year against a different Chinese factory. I would not make full payment on any tractor right now until the tractor was in the USA and had cleared customs.

Ihave the JW-03 hoe: and ZL-20 FEL both are JINMA set on my 284. anyhow the FEL is good and works well, but needs bigger bucket/actuators for serious lifting but may over stress axels... I've heard of the KAMA having a few front end axel problems with the FEL weigh but I THINK they may have that fixed by now? the HOE works OK and like others said twitchy haydraulics, as I can attest to the scaring on my pole barn side walls from the recent drain tile I installed, (will post a photo gallery soon on my web site and provide links.)

Mark,
I am not aware of any front axle problems with KAMA, could you be thinking of the Jinma 454 axle housing that broke while being fitted for a loader last year? The KAMA axles are quite strong, one piece castings as opposed to the JInma bolt on axle housings.

The Jinma ZL-20 loader is a little more refined, in my opinion, than the KAMA TZ-04 we experienced. Neither are as nice (nor as expensive) as their Koyker counterparts.

I ordered some JW-3s but recieved Guilin LW-6 backhoes with subrames to fit 200 series Jinma. Do you know if the JW-3 is actually made by Jinma or Guilin? Maybe there is a tag on yours, mine says Guilin.

Mine is the JW-03 and is of 2001 vintage:

it has a tag but 90% of it is in chiniese...

I did get a NEW control block for the ZL-20 from FLA who had his replaced as it was messed up. so I have extra valve body and sections of the same design. I have not used it yet but will be when I get a chance and $ to build a grapple on the ZL-20 FEL.

I DID tweek mine pretty good by ramming into a concrete block to loosen it. (bent something down on the right side some 1/2") not sure if it is the loader FRAME or the Bucket Mount across the back? I belive it is in the frame though as the bucket is lower on one side than the other since the bending incendent... (prying out concrete piers and would dig a deep rut with the tires, then back out of the RUT and clutch it and roll back into the rut and bang into the concrete.) I SHOULD have installed the back hoe but I was lazy and only figured on removing one or two of them when in fact I ended up having too much fun and removed all but one of them. (I managed to FIND the last one with the box blade while smoothing out the area in HH1 full bore!) /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif
stopped me dead and then tweeked my ripper mount. I later managed to OVER tweek the box the opposite way by backing into large submerged bolders in the creek. /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif I sure am having FUN but kind of hard on the equipment...

I DID finally BREAK one of the Hyd Cylinders Rod End on the back hoe too. about 1 month ago. while fully reached out over the creek removing one of the Bigger Bolders... banged it a bit too hard and snapped the rod off. had to RE-WELD it back on, not hard fix but still took a while... only real gripe I have with the JW-03 is that the handels are too short to Stand and run it with out Hunching over. they need about 4" more for easy operation while standing, I don't sit as it is too much shaking going on! /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif I also only run it at about 1200~1400 RPM other wise the responce is TOO fast.

Scozz, no, my loader is a "Value Leader" LD-250. Made by DFAM, the same company that makes my tractor and I believe the LW-6, 7 & 8 backhoes. Or, at least that's what they have used as model numbers for their line. FYI, I put a toothbar on my bucket and this thing can really dig... /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Purchased my tractor stateside.

I JUST PURCHASED A NEW TASKMASTER 432 WITH A FRONT LOADER AND A BOX GRADER. I WOULD HAVE BOUGHT A BACKHOE BUT THE DEALER DID NOT HAVE A SUB FRAME HOE AND INSISTED THAT I SHOULD NOT USE A 3 POINT.
I THINK THAT WAS GOOD ADVISE AS THE GROUND IN ARIZONA IS VERY HARD WITH LOTS OF ROCKS.

WHERE DID YOU PURCHASE YOUR SUBFRAME & HOE AND COULD YOU GIVE ME MODEL #S & APPROX WHAT WAS THE COST? IS IT DESIGNED FOR THE 432 OR WERE MODIFICATIONS REQUIRED. I AM READY TO BUY ONE BUT I DON'T KNOW WHICH ONE WILL FIT MY TRACTOR OR WHERE TO GET IT. (PHOENIX AREA)

THANKS,
GARY /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif
