Check out this item number for your Kubota, 230057998240. Look at this ebayers other auctions, what a scam  . How & why does ebay even allow these listings  .

Link to auction. I don't know that it is a scam, but one person bid $1,000,000.00 possibly by mistake, and another bid 1,000,100.00. The auction has now been cancelled, so it is hard to know exactly if it were a scam or two people just wanted to ruin this person auction.

Ebay just ended all their auctions. They had 15 auctions of over a million each.

Every time I've ever looked for a Kubota or JD tractor on eBay, I've seen several obvious scam attempts. Most of them are "pre-approved bidder only" auctions. I honestly don't understand why eBay doesn't do more to stop those. On eBay's "live chat" with an eBay person, they admitted that 99% of the "pre-approved bidder only" auctions were scams. If that's the case, and it sure appears to be, why doesn't eBay check those auctions closer???? I have one guess; they don't give a hoot because they have collected a listing fee.

Anyway, you can now report the scams to eBay easy enough and they remove them usually within the hour. At the bottom of each auction there is a tab that says "report this item". Click that. Then you click "fraudulent listings...". After that, you click the tab saying "you suspect it's fraudulent but you didn't bid". At that point, you are taken to an email setup with the auction number already filled in. For the text part of the email all you have to put is "obvious scam" or simply "scam". I've reported dozens and dozens of those. Not because I'm trying to play eBay cop, but because I feel that if I can prevent one unsuspecting person from getting scammed, it's worth the 30 seconds or so it takes to get the scam auction removed.

They usually don't collect the listing fees on a scam auction because the seller is usually a stolen ID. They can't make you pay for a auction that you didn't list. I get a few phishing emails a day. If you send me your user name and password, I will pass it onto them. That way, you will learn how eBay deals with these problems first hand. :D

Ebay dosn't allow these auctions, but if they don't look at each individual auction before the auction goes up they cant toss them out, and to look at every one of the millions of auctions would take huge ammounts of man power, so they rely on these being reported to them :( although they do have a report that comes up on the left side if you search kubota

I'm just mad that I cant actually get that year old L5030 with loader, back hoe, and 43.2 hours for $3000

Actually eBay fed you a crock of poo. Their software most certainly is able to flag and require additional authentication for "pre-approved bidders only" auctions separately from regular auctions. It would take about one person part time to police this with their software. They simply have chosen to not bother; fact per an eBay representative. It is obviously going to take someone to sue eBay for tens of millions of dollars for eBay knowingly allowing a form of auction to be used that is almost all attempts at fraud to continue without eBay doing anything to protect the public. And, I'll give you pretty good odds that eBay will lose such a suit with the tens of thousands of people who have complained about the blatant fraud attempts on almost every single "pre-approved bidder only" auctions. On this issue, eBay is simply being flat stupid; no other way to describe their lack of action to protect the public from fraud.

Whenever I have browsed for Kubota tractors on Ebay I have often found several obvious scams. They are often listed multiple times. They always have a deal where if you pay a certain amount of cash by cashier's check you can receive the item immediately. And they say that the "contact seller" option does not work for them; you have to contact the seller outside of ebay. I have reported and killed dozens of these obvious scams. Now I have just grown tired of dealing with them. I just hope most people are perceptive enough to recognize these scams. I wish there was a way these people could be prosecuted. It's just frustrating.

Purchased a piece of stolen equipment on E-bay (blender). Found out it was stolen because it came with an inventory control tag still attached and I called the restaraunt supply house who's name was on the tag.

You cannot even file a complaint through E-bay's system for this specific type of event! I had to force a complaint as 'item not as described.' E-bay automatically closed the complaint when PayPal showed my money was refunded. I was lucky - the equipment supplier had all of the info on the guy who took the equipment - he used his own info when he listed on E-bay - and threatened legal action. The guy had a bunch of other equipment on E-bay at the time. E-bay allowed all of those auctions to proceed. Guy is still an active lister on E-bay!! Fees Fees Fees!
