Specifically Kubota. Time to replace my air filters.

I guess the cheapest price would depend on whether you want genuine Kubota or just something that fits. I'd start with eBay and go from there.

Genuine Kubota which makes me leary of Ebay or Amazon

Why? Do you not think Kubota filters are available from those sources?

I'm sure they are. Do you blindly trust that every seller from those sources are 100% honest?

Honestly, I have never had a problem with any eBay dealer. However for my Kubota filters I go to my local Kubota dealer and support him. I use few enough filters I don't think I'll go bankrupt buying from my dealer and I'm pretty sure his filters are genuine Kubota as they come in Kubota branded boxes.

I just order from Messicks

I'd really love to buy from them. After all, Niel's videos are what convinced me to go with Kubota. But their shipping kills it for me.

I bought oil & oil/air filters at Coleman Equipment several times, shipping for me is around $20.00 even on big orders, arrive within 4-5 days. It save's me an hr time from going to the kabota tractor store. Kubota Parts | Coleman Equipment

I never found them any cheaper ordering on-line rather than my local dealer. With the added shipping charges prices are always within a dollar or two of each other.

And my local dealer's prices run the same as Messicks.

Yeah, that seems to be the rule for all specialized equipment parts (snowmobiles, ATVs, etc), not just tractors. Online places maybe a couple bucks cheaper than the dealer but ends up costing more with shipping. I don't know if there's price fixing involved or if they're just such low demand products that no one aftermarket makes them and the mfgr can charge whatever they want. :irked:
My Kioti dealer is pretty small and doesn't carry a lot of parts in stock...if a part needs to be ordered I might as well do it myself.

There are plenty of aftermarket choices for Kubota filters of varying qualities in a wide range of prices. The OP is looking strictly for OEM filters in this instance.

Messicks = $42.95 + what ever shipping would be for inner and outer .

Ebay = $52 for both , free shipping .

Fleet Filter = $47.63 + shipping

Amazon = $34.27 for 1 of the filters with prime + $21 for other without prime shipping .

This was for Wix / Napa Gold 46489 and 46490 inner and outer air filters for a MX5200T .

OEM Filters is a Highly contested debate here on this board . Having Hauled steel coils to companies Who MAKE filters , I have Seen filters of different " Brands " come out of 1 building . The only difference is the paint on the filter and the printing on the box . There are different Grades of Filters , for instance Napa Brand versus Napa Gold Brand , But many brands are almost identical . The only real difference is interior filter quality / amount of filter medium in filter .

Really doubt Kubota or any other maker has their own filter making company , Just My :2cents:

Certainly not "their own filter making company"
But frequently filters are made to a machinery manufacturer specification, by a non specific filter manufacturer.
