8 years ago and about 5 years ago built this myself with my brother and wifes help. I call it the New Orleans style with porches on the front instead of the side. Also looked at, copied and pictured Charleston homes before building. I bought a mobile home park (a ministry) about 3 years ago so that's the reason for the grin. I am using the house wrap for steep hillside ground cover. It's a no name roll that I paid $100 for several years ago for probably 800 feet from a man that wanted money and didn't want the wrap. It won't let water thru but also won't let weeds thru. We have grasses planted and will let them spread and add more till it's all grass. It's to steep to mow with tractor with drop off at bottom. Tractor would probably do it but I'm just not willing to do it with the drop at the bottom. I'll tackle about anything that I can see a way out of but when it's one of those "oh crap" moves I try to avoid them. Steep up and down don't bother me but the 4' drop does. I believe all Christians are/should be ministers (Doing something to help others). Not a Pastor or Preacher (some dispute the preacher part)
. The (opportunity) to buy a mobile home park with 18 single wides, 2 double wides and a brick house on 5 acres was "sent" my way. I didn't want to do it but felt "led" to do it. Borrowed the money and bought it. Being a Retired Counselor/Administrator/College Teacher/Real Estate Broker has helped me "deal" with the major issues facing a "job" like this. I also do (maybe not retired) private Family/Marriage Counseling as a Christian for no charge, just ask that they contribute some money to their Church. People come and go at The Family Mobile Home Park and many don't always pay as they should and some I even loan money. Objective is that it pay for itself and not require additional money from my retirement income. Don't kick anyone out for not being able to pay but do remove them when they just won't pay. Ministry.
