Hi everyone THis is backyardproduce.com start a new project. I have always wanted a backhoe for my NH 1920 and have bid on many on ebay only to be out bid or the seller sells it before the auction ends. Well last week I seen a DitchWitch 140 backhoe that was for sale for $600 and after looking it over good and close I think I can make it work for what I need it for. This backhoe is a DitchWitch modular system that will bolt up to most of their equipment. I am building a 3 pt adapter to be able to hook it up to the 3 pt on my NH1920. OK I hooked it all up and got it to mount on my 3 pt and all was working well. Then a friend called and found a woods 9500 mounted on a 1920. the tractor was a little older than mine but I could get the part from woods. Wrong Woods told me that because the problems with the 9500 breaking the 1920 in half they would no longer supply parts to connect that backhoe to my tractor. Now this DW 140 was bigger than the woods. I abandoned ship and sold the DW 140. The next week the same friend found a 7500 for $2500 and I bought the subframe for $1000 from woods and the local tractor junk yard had a d new hyd setup for my 1920 for $300. So I have a little more in my back hoe than I had planned but I am not worried about tearing up my tractor. The backhoe paid for its self in the first 2 months. Water leak to the house and the good friend and a neighbor both need backhoe work done and paid me for it! A little on the cheap but I was glad to get the hoe paid for!

It's too bad bad you could'nt make a solid subframe for the DW140. You would be into it pretty cheap and have a great tool.

"This attachment works absolutely great. I've dug a huge 15 X 12 feet hole 4 feet deep with constant use for eight hours straight. I've only used it for a total of 12 hours since converting it to 3 point hitch. SO WHY ARE YOU SELLING IT FELLOW? This attachent is 1,500 lbs according to the Ditchwitch web site. I believe it! It broke the cast iron top link on my Deutz 4507 tractor. I switched the backhoe to my Deutz 7206 tractor and still it is bending the bolt that holds the top link and has bent the frame that I fabricated.... a little.. The darn thing is too heavy and I want to find a smaller attachment. "
