I have no idea what kind this is, but you can tell the approximate size by the KatyDid wing to the right. Also, the zipper feature in the web may help.

That looks like what my iphone takes all of the time... which I didn't realize until after posting/sending pictures for two months after I got it.

Orb-weaver spiders make the 'zig-zag' pattern on their webs.

The ones that I have do it in an "X". They then sit in the middle of the "X", arranging their legs in pairs to match the "X".

I wonder...... there use to be quite a few of various types/sizes/colors of "garden spiders" around here. Even the occasional Black Widow. Now it's rare that I see any spiders.

What I DO SEE - lots of Praying Mantis. All different sizes - green in the late spring - tan in late summer. I wonder........
