Normally a flush & coolant change is part of my pre-winter maintenance on a NH TC25D. This year with the low hours of use (probably ~100 hr by autumn) I'm considering stretching it out for 12 more months. What type of coolant breakdown can occur over time? Considering the relatively minimum costs and effort is this a stupid/lazy thought?

You're probably going to be fine. The biggest issues with changing coolant are rusting and cooling ability. With coolant, though, the hours aren't as much as an issue as time. But on my cars they don't recommend a coolant flush for two to three years and that doesn't cause any problems for the cars, so I can't imagine why it would be an issue for a tractor. Same basic system, so it should have the same basic requirements...

Just checked my Kubota's service manual and they recommend a coolant change every two years. I'm sure you can go another year without trouble.
