Chains Chains for BX front turf tires

The front tires on my BX2350 are 18x8.50-10. I had TSC order some 2-link chains for them and what came in were advertised on the box to fit 18x9.50-8 or 19x9.50x8 sized tires.

I went to put them on and there is way too much slack in the axial direction. On the inside of the tires they nearly hit the tie rod ends and on the outside they come way inside the circumference of the wheel.

I checked on Tirechains.com and the closest size they offer are the same ones that TSC sold me.

Has anyone found a source for the correct size chains?

My next step will be to cut out some links but I'd rather not if I don't have to.

I had to cut off some links to make my chains fit. It's not difficult.

I bought a set of ATV V bar tire chains for rear wheels and it fits too loose. I have to remove two links to make it fits tide enough. After I put two rubber binders and they do not at all.

Plan B will be to shorten the chains. Unfortunately they need to be shortened in the side-to-side direction which means each bar needs to be dealt with.

I was hoping someone had found a set of off-the-shelf chains that fit these tires better.

no need to cut the cross chains. just spread the outside connecting link (cross chain that connects to the side chain) and move it to the next cross link. that way you will have the extra link just rotating with the tire and you will have a smaller cross chain. i am think that the loose link still is giving a little traction and they did not hurt anything of mine yet. and i can't see them where they would.
