Rotary Cutter chain guard for rotary cutter

Anyone here make a chain guard for the front of their rotary cutter? Now that I've got a welder, and virtually unlimited scrap steele, I want to make something.

Another way to do this is to model after the guards on a Rhino SE-4. I think their web site shows it clear enough. It's just a heavy mat "skirt" that hangs down. It seems like it might cut down on noise and dust. I need to rebuild my used SE-4 this winter and want to replace mine. I'm trying to figure out what to make it out of, instead of buying replacements from Rhino. Maybe some old conveyer belt would work. Anyone know what to use?

I have heard of a horsestall mat that guys get from TSC and similar places to make driveway "squeegees" for their snow blades. Should work pretty well here, fairly inexpensive, and you can get several from one mat.
