Yes I did in Massachusetts if its a farm you are allowed to drive 1/4 mile without plates otherwise you have to register it to drive it on the road. it cost me 122.00 for the plates and 375.00 for insurance.

I don't believe that they are required when they are used exclusively on you own private land, but would be required when you leave your land and go onto the land of others .

I don't see any reason to require a license plate anywhere other than on a public road.
Don't think the department of motor vehicles has any authority on property that is not a public road.
If it's private land they have no jurisdiction no matter who owns the land.

I requested one three weeks ago , hadn't showed up yet ,so I called the Dealer this morning.
I was told they weren't familiar with acquiring one so They had left it up to the Field Rep. to handle.
Hence, No Certificate of Origin yet /forums/images/graemlins/mad.gif /forums/images/graemlins/mad.gif /forums/images/graemlins/mad.gif

The only reason I requested this through this particular Dealer was I bought it there, which probably will be the last I buy there.
