I need the TBN brain trusts help to diagnose my tractors problem.

I Parked the tractor to refuel. After refueling the tractor won't start. Engine cranks and turns over, no smoke. Disconnected the fuel line between fuel pump and filter bowl and there is no fuel flowing when the key is turned on. I have 12 V at the fuel pump connector, checked with a meter. Bought a replacement fuel pump from NAPA and still have no fuel flow. Is there some other fuel system component that I need to be checking?

How do the fuel pumps operate?
Does the Fuel solenoid have any bearing at this point?

Is the pump running? If it is there may be a broken fuel line sucking air or some restriction at the inlet in the tank. If the fuel pump is not running have you checked for 12V + and ground THROUGH the 2 prong connector itself? Not just 12V from one side of connector to chassis ground because the ground can be bad and fool you into thinking you have the power to run the pump. If the pump is not running and you have 12V +- at plug try checking for voltage at the plug with the pump connected (under a load situation) if no/low voltage there is a problem in the circuit somewhere, if voltage; disconnect line and try 12V directly from a good battery to the pump- no run; is bad pump. My Branson pump was a weak pump. I was able to disassemble my Branson pump and clean a tiny piece of debris from it and it worked. Installing a pre-filter to the pump will prevent this; but I would suggest an aftermarket pump if your pump is bad.
If you have no fuel from your fuel pump the fuel (cut-off) solenoid has no bearing here.

I checked voltage across the connector terminals. I don't think the pump is running, but am not sure. Would the pump make any noise or would I be able to feel any vibration?

Any electronic pump I have ever seen should make some kind of noise. I believe our type is a sliding cylinder/ check valve that moves off of a magnetic field and each reversing direction gives it the vibrating sound. I think the tank mounted units are a rotating type and they hum. If yours is mounted on the firewall give it a little smack with the handle of a screw driver and see if the thing starts to vibrate. Like I say the Branson pump on mine was real weak in its motion. If it starts to vibrate and pump get an aftermarket type. This does not account for the other unit (assumed new) you tried and didn't work which means you may have another problem, unless that particular pump is polarized and you hooked it up wrong..

Will do. I won't be able to work on the tractor until after 5. I'll post what I find. Thanks for the input.

Pilot, I had the same problem as you.
I went to Napa and bought their universal 12v fuel pump, I installed it, and it has worked since then.
It should vibrate a little when you turn on the key until it reaches full pressure, then it just hums along.
Also have you checked your fuses in the dashboard, one could of unplugged while you were using it.

Checked old and new pump on a known good battery. The old pump did nothing that I could tell. The new pump made noises, and I felt it vibrating. I tried connecting the new pump to the connector on the tractor and got nothing. I was unable to check the voltage while under load as the battery in my meter has died (left it on overnight that last time I used it). I will be getting a new battery for the meter and testing more this evening.

Great progress: Sounds like the old pump is bad (If it is the same manufacturer as mine get rid of it before it leaves you far from home). New pump MAY require the correct polarity to operate but you still may have an electrical circuit issue. Good luck; it will be repaired shortly. I have confidence in your abilities.

UPDATE:Main harness connector was filthy. I believe this was causing a bad connection. Clean the connector up and the new pump is working.

I bled the fuel system per the manual (2 bleeder screws at the filter bowl, and one at the injector pump). Still wont fire though. I'm getting a little bit of white smoke at the exhaust.

What else do I need to do?

UPDATE: Fuel Stop Solenoid is not activating. Fuel Stop Solenoid works when connected directly to battery. Voltages at the connector are uncertain, and seem to be bouncing around wildly.
