Century 3035
I have a Century 3035, the same one that I just had the PTO issue with. After getting it going, I was brush cutting when a steering hose popped apart at the crimp. After a couple of weeks of waiting on a local hydraulics shop to make a new hose, it is back together again. I have a separate power steering fluid reservoir. I can not find anything on what to use in that reservoir. The manual I have (for a Branson 3520) states that the power steering uses the common hydraulic reservoir for the rest of the hydraulics and transmission. Can I use hydraulic fluid, it is a hydraulic cylinder or do I use power steering fluid.

I have a 2003 Century 2535 that came with the plastic steering fluid reservoir under the platform, just behind the front tire. I use whatever hydraulic fluid that I have on hand. It's never been one of those things that I felt needed special fluid.

If you still have the plastic tank, you might want to look for the replacement metal tank that they made for it. I bought mine from a dealer that went out of business years ago, so hopefully there is somebody out there still selling them.

The issue with the original plastic tank is that the nipples for the hoses will crack, and then it's junk. Hopefully you already have the metal tank.

There is a document floating around that details a bypass kit. I replaced my plastic tank with metal and use the same fluid as all my axles.
