Tiller CCM Tiller weight claim?

I looked at the CCM website and the SR-185 caught my eye. It is advertised as weighing 1110lbs?!?! Anybody know if this is accurate? How can the other offerings from other manufacturers be this far off?This looks like beefy tiller. Any experiences w/the SR line would be helpful.

I bought the CCM MR175, it's advertised weight is 730 lbs., not sure if that's the "shipping weight" or the true weight (been awhile, can't find my reciept) but I can say it's gotta be at least 700 lbs. because I can't budge it by hand with out using my digging bar for leverage! call Mark at CCM, I'm sure he can tell ya.

According to CCM my M-160 tiller weighs 550#; seems about right. They seem to be pretty well built units. The paint job and welds are pretty decent. I do not know about the rust factor yet this year as I have not taken off the tarp yet. Jay

So how do you CCM tiller owners adjust the slip clutch PTO that came with your tillers? Mark (from CCM) tells me that instructions are in my SR 185 manual. I am unable to find any instructions in the manual.

Yeah, the instruction manual that came with my CCM tiller is quite lacking. Might as well not have one at all...

I would agree with that, but in addition, the manual just didnt cover a whole lot of stuff...the slip clutch being one of them

All our tillers are listed at their actual weight not shipping weight.

Since you're here, let me ask you a quick question. What is the benefit of using those curved metal guide "shoes"? (I don't know what else to call them)
