Good evening everyone.

I thinking of upgrading to a princess auto in stock pump SKU:8375404 the body seems close accept the front end plate and the shaft would have to be modified to match exiting, also the Jinma CBN pump high out put is on the back on of the pump however wondering if i could use the princess auto pump with 90 deg elbow to pull this off.... why do I want to give this a try well its because the CBN pump internal gasket tolerance is weak when setting my spool pressure relive valve to example 2300 psi to 2400 psi it does not take much to over heat the pump and gasket blows... if i set the spool to 2000 psi all is okay but lose power at the loader that i need.

the internal the princess auto pump specification are Max. Continuous Pressure 3,850 PSI Max. Speed 4,000 RPM

I did find a forum here that some guy converted a another rated pump and pulled it off however the work involve is way above my tools in my shop.

Thank you anyone who can guide me...

Are you the least bit concerned about overloading the front axle of the tractor?

I agree with Bob that it's not a good idea to exceed 2000 psi, none of the components are meant to take it.

Do you want more lift or faster operation? There is a higher flow pump available.

I'm thinkin' in my wishing side that a man could adapt a variable displacement pump the pump mount. Beside being over the moon expensive it probably wouldn't have the room to get one of those in there. I suppose if i was real serious I could always use the PTO but there would be times when I would be needing the PTO for the implement and also needing the auxillary hydraulics as well. This afternoon I was tedding some hay a reach over and briefly touched the auxially valve and burned my fingers. The weather person on TV said it was 105 deg. before I started tedding. That oil just going nowhere and making pressure has me needing a hydraulic cooler now. Always somethin' else to add to a tractor, I just better be satisfied that I had enough fuel to finish the job at hand. bjr

Good day everyone. All great point guys and good comments and my main concerns is availability of parts here in Canada it would be nice to be able to go to a local store to get example pump gasket kit at a reasonable $ etc. Bob your point is valid and absolutely I would not want to go overboard on the power again its more to have an internal design that could be reliable and it seems the CBN pump design having the high out put side on the end may cause a high pressure and cause the gasket failure. moving forward I will start monitoring the CBN pump external temperature when I work with the tractor for example one hour and see what readings I'm getting using laser temp probe. I have to say to pay 39.99 plus the wait of receiving parts could drive me nuts laughing:

Many equipment operators and truck fleet owners have found it futile, and not very cost effective, to try and reinvent the wheel. The ones I know, including myself, keep a stock of critical OEM parts on hand.

Thank Bob, well I end up getting that princess auto pump for the price the guy gave me 3 sets of gaskets for free plus the pump 12 GPM for 79.00 for the gasket alone cost 39.00 per set so win win so I will start playing with the original spare pump I have and the new one and see what comes out of it.

Excellent. Let us know what happens. Pictures too if possible. I think there are many folks watching this.

Good day all. the princess auto pump wont fit because no room between the engine block and the out put of the pump, I guess it could be possible but not without major mod to the pump... its to bad because the original front and rear plate could fit on the new pump with little modification just need to increase the size of the holes by very little... well I end up getting 3 set of gasket out of it. my goal was to end up with a local pump and also don't like the way the original pump is designed by having the high out put located on the rear plate instead of conventional pump lined up with the suction size to me it provide less path resistance therefore less friction / heat and possible more stable flow. i will go back to tom site to review the high out put design they have available. again all thanks for the suggestions and comments...

Is there room to rotate it 90ー on it's axis so the suction and discharge ports are on the top and bottom?
