Yes, as a matter of fact I stopped by the local Caterpillar dealer this morning, Nebraska Machinery to look at one.. We had to go search for it on their lot... The AG Sales guy was not in so a construction fellow helped me, it was dwarfed and buried in among their Graders, Earth movers, Front End loaders etc.. We fired it up and it sounded very smooth... I actually knew more about it than he did since he did not mess around with this small of stuff......
Woodbeef is correct of course, it is an Iseki, same or similar to the AGCO on looks and inside, similar to the Massey Sheet Metal, same on the inside. In fact the brochure I picked up has AGCO right on the page, so Caterpillar is basically just marketing the AGCO/Iseki brand with yellow paint and theri name... Actually, a smart move... there are hundreds of CAT dealers around the country, it opens up the constuction/landscape market for them, rather than rely on more rural oriented AGCO dealers who sell large AG equipment... They had advertised in our local small farm magazine, so I thought I would take a look... I pretty much new what to expect as I have a 1993 Iseki and many of the exterior components are the same or similar, such as the rear lights, light controls, shuttle shift, controls etc. They had the MT 295 which is the biggest one in the MT 200 series... 44+ HP. It was pretty big for me... had an FEL on it...goes out at around 4300 pds. with the FEL attached... Very nice.. I would go with the MT 285 Hydro...about 40 HP and just a bit smaller in frame and tire size.
They are nice..it has the look of quality and substance... somewhat like having a Harley or Vette..... there of course are more technically advanced motorcycles and sports cars, but what price can you put on "COOL"..........
I think you might need to wear "CAT" clothes such as jackets, hats, boots, suspenders etc., that I saw in a virtual clothes store in their waiting room and service area... You could buy everything including lots of toy construction equipment... WOW!
Anyway, you can see a picture on the AGCO site and Caterpillar sites.....
