Caterpillar C4.4 engine... any idea how much a new one costs?

I'm curious, does anyone know approximately how much a brand new Caterpillar C4.4 diesel engine costs? I realize that they can come in various power levels and with various accessories, so an approximate ball park figure would suffice.

I've tried searching for this info. via Google and get all kinds of websites selling used engines, but I'm curious as to how much a new C4.4 costs.

I don't know, but if I just called a Cat dealer would they quote me the price on an engine even?

Gamma, Not familiar with the C4.4 however,

I called the parts dept at my CAT dealer for a new engine for my machine.3024T...NEW not REMAN on the pallet with all components injector pump,injectors,starter,water pump,alternator,manifolds,-even the turbo..COMPLETE...7600 clams not including tax or labor....
