I have an 86 931B loader. The seal kit for the stick cylinder on the backhoe was about $75. If the cylinder is in otherwise good shape, it shouldn't be too much to have it done. You could do it yourself but you'd have to find out the torque for bolt that holds the piston on. Apparently my cylinder had a very slight bend in it and they charged for straightening, honing and polishing, in addition to threading the end for a bigger bolt cause the original pulled out and took half the threads with it. It cost me about $1300 by the time it was done. Just to put a seal kit in should be much cheaper, maybe around $300 but that's just a guess. Go to a hyd. shop and ask for an estimate so you don't get sticker shock. If you do it yourself, Cat probably has a procedure they could print for you. Always use oil when installing cylinder seals.
