A customer of mine asked me to R&R the loader pilot control valve on their Cat 928G because the dealer wanted 6 hrs labor to do what looked like a 2 hours job. I swapped everything over no problem, marked the lines and got everything back in the same spots as before but it is not working correctly. I have bled all of the lines and have fluid coming out of all 4 pilot lines to the main valve. the problem I'm having is that the only way I can get it to work is to open the bleed control valve, and relief the pressure in the lines, then close it, start the machine and I can get one function to operate in the opposite direction of what it should and once I stop its movement I can't operate any function again until I open the bleed valve again and relief the pressure. So I'm stuck, Caterpillar is next to no help so far. If anybody has experience with this machine please let me know.

Thanks
Brian

Hahaha, Caterpillar had mounted the new valve with the pressure and tank ports reversed. You'd think for a $2500 valve they could get it right.
