I have just bought a Cat 416b back hoe, 1994 which seems to have been well maintained but the swing hydrauilcs do not seem so good.
Problem as follows:-
When swinging hoe from left to right and back speed seems to be ok, not lighting fast, but ok. When you lift the back end off the ground using the boom and then try to swing the back end to one side, (like walking over a ditch) the swing rams do not move.
Can anyone suggest what the problem might be. All other hydraulics seems to be working at normal speed. Has anyone seen this before??
