Cast Iron Crack repair

Back in the 70’s I has a head with a crack similar to above. The machine shop installed the single row of pins along the crack but did not put any cross locks in. The repair held for as long as I owned the car.

Wow. That's pretty amazing. Might have saved the transmission case I had replaced on my tractor a few years ago.
