Case Farmall 95 pump or injector troubles.

I have a 2009 Case Farmall 95. It started having problems awhile ago.

It will idle normal & sometimes run normal but after a few minutes it will start surging and blowing white smoke from the exhaust.

If you take it back down to idle it seems fine.

It has a Bosch pump.

Have you changed your fuel filter lately? That's the first thing I'd be looking at, as they can cause all kinds of problems.

It has a new filter. I also changed all the lines from the tank to the filter. The old ones were so brittle if you moved them they would break.

While I was doing that I drained the tank & checked it. It was clean. No water or trash in the tank.

The next thing I'd check is, are you getting any air bubbles at the injection pump, from a possible air leak...

Does your tractor have a "lift" pump, is it weak?

Is there a screen in the back of the injection pump by chance? My dozer has a little brass screen in the back of the injection pump at the inlet, it was partially plugged and limiting fuel, to the pump.

It has a clear inline strainer before the lift pump & you don't see any bubbles in it.

It does have a mechanical lift pump that works off the engine. It has a lever on the bottom of it to prime the filters.

at 25.00 I wouldn't even bother making a pressure tester..

Have a pump coming. It's supposed to be here Thursday.

The tractor started up & ran normal up to 2400 rpm. I used it to check cows & it ran for about 45 minutes before it acted like it ran out of fuel & died.

It started back up & would only idle after that.
