Case 885 Three Point Leveling Screw

I bent the heck out of the leveling screw on a Case 885. I'm now trying to disassemble the screw from the upper and lower housing to attempt to heat the shaft and attempt to straighten. Anyone have experience in taking the upper and lower housings apart to remove the screw?

unscrew the bottom, rap wet rag around top, heat and straighten

Thanks. Difficulty I'm having is unscrewing bottom housing. Any secrets to getting this off or should it simply unscrew from shaft?
