Case 644 3PT Hitch Upgrade?

Hi everyone I just joined this site.

I am looking at a case 644 loader tractor for around my yard that has just a weight box on the back of it. I was wondering if its possible to put a 3 point hitch and hydraulic PTO on a 644, 646, 648, 6018 If it does not have anything on the rear?

Also any information you can provide on things to look for with these tractors, where to get such components or where to find a used one would be appreciated. I'm new with these models but Im very interested in owning one, Tho they do seem hard to come by.

Case made a H-26 and a J-26 3 pt hitch for the 400 Series garden tractors. It does NOT fit a 600 Series.

Case also made a LT-26 3 pt hitch specifically for the 600 Series. Those are very tough to find as a used item and often bring more than $500.00 on e-Bay when they show up due to that rarity.

Ingersoll makes (present day) the HH-34 3 pt hitch which is universal in that it can be mounted on the 3000/4000 Ingersoll GT's as well as the 6000/7000 Ingersoll loader tractors. It is also backward compatible with the 200/400 Series GT's providing you have the later hydraulic PTO kit because the earlier kits will get hit by the 3 pt's upper bellcrank arm when the hitch is fully raised. The current selling price of the HH-34 is $1000.00 at a dealer. Occasionally, a used one shows up on e-Bay but it usually brings pretty good money meaning more than $500.00.

Case made a rear PTO for the 600's that was exclusive to those tractors and it is rare to see a used one for sale. Needless to say, those often bring upwards of $300.00 if they are complete.

It would be possible to adapt the rear PTO kit from a Case GT to your 600 but some fabrication would likely be needed along with two new high pressure hydraulic hoses and some fittings.

It is also possible to fabricate a 3 pt hitch for a reasonable cost IF...you have the tools and skills to do so.
