Builder has been discussing 590SL prices and mentioned one ~ $25K.

This is more of what I find: S/N: JJG0212338, Stk #: 2516R, 3400 hours, 99 hp, 4WD, CAB W/HEAT AND A/C (COLD), RIDE CONTROL, EXT HOE, STEREO, AIR RIDE CLOTH $26,500 [dealer in IL]

I'm in machinery trader and there isn't a 590 SL within 500 miles of me (zip 43701) under $30K and any with decent hours (I consider decent hours to be < 4000) are $36-39K.

This isn't to say a $25K 590 SL isn't out there. And also these are list prices so who knows? I was almost $10K under list on the last SL I looked at.

590's sell for more when new, but sell for less when used because although they are "more machine", there's less demand for them. CASE 580's are in high demand, so typically, even though they're 8-9 less HP, have smaller back tires and smaller spread on their stabilizer pads, they fit more of a niche market.

I can't use a 590 on most of my sites because of the spread width of the stabilizers.

One heads-up on Super-L's you have to watch is RUST. The cab doors tend to rust. The Super-M doors are much better designed and the cab is more bulbous & ergonomic. The Super-L doors are expensive to replace and even tougher to fix once the cancer sets in on them.

Thanks. I'd noticed that on the doors but didn't think about it.

Understand on the new vs used prices. Dodge diesels have a similar patters: +$1000 for an AT on a new truck; -$2000+ for an AT on a used one. So when I buy I get a new stick or an AT MSO (factory reject) truck where the AT deduction's accounted for.
