Asking for a friend:
My friend is about to raze the remainder of our burned out house and has a Case 580E.
He went to check on it today to make sure it would be ready to go when our demo permit is approved. Apparently rainwater made it to whatever cylinders had open exhaust valves.
Ive worked on various diesels over the years, but never a Cummins. I/we dont want to get involved with injector removal if we can help it. What are the thoughts of pulling the exhaust manifold (NA), and suck water out using icemaker line or even air shock line. Not sure how far exh valves open on these.
Thanks for any info you can offer.
