My mother has a Case 580ck that my dad bought 20 years ago and she'd like to see it go down the road.

I'd "inherit" it if I had a reason for it, but I don't really want a backhoe. (It's old and needs hoses/some work, etc). I just don't have projects for it.

I was wondering, mainly somewhat abstractly if it's an actual Case tractor in there? It looks like it might be a utility tractor of some sort. I was thinking it might make a good loader tractor. No three point hitch of course.

What I'm wondering is if there is another Case model that I could steal hitch parts from and bolt up? I'm up to that idea, but don't really care to fabricate anything.

Probably not worth what it would take to make something else out of it but thought to ask here anyway.

It is possible to remove the backhoe to do that. They actually made a drawbar for them shown here:Belt Pulley, Drawbar | CASE Construction | MyCNH US Store

However, finding one could be pricey or like finding hens teeth. I did find one using the part number but rather pricey: Case 430 470 530 570 Tractor A37809 Drawbar I'm sure there are many more out there you just have to find them.

One possible way to find one would be to post a free "want to buy" ad on tractorhouse: TractorHouse.com | New & Used Farm Equipment For Sale Open the link and look at the top right hand of the page and you'll see the "free want to buy". You will need to fill it out and register with them, give part number and description. You'll also need the drawbar support.

There are many places that have salvage that don't show on their page, too small to post there, but do have parts. I have found many hard to find parts there for my old equipment, and a few I'd say are smaller yards, possibly even farmers or places that just have a few pieces of equipment they are parting out. If it's worth 10 minutes of your time to fill it out, might be worth it.

There are also salvage yards for construction equipment, you'll just have to find them. Google can be your friend.
