Depends on what gear you are in. If in anything but first, I'd say there is nothing wrong with it, if the pile of dirt is pretty tight. If the dirt is loose, try lifting & curling the bucket a little sooner, before getting too far into the pile. If it's not loose, try digging some loose, then try to load.

I love the torque converter much more on my 480C, then the clutch on the old 310B. I can feather the throttle, and ease into the pile, while lifting & curling at the same time, and not slip a tire, and still get a full bucket.

its pretty lose you have to stop any forward montion before it will lift then no problem. it loses power trying to do both at the same time

Sounds like you're crowding into the pile, faster than it has power enough to curl & lift, or too far, before starting the curl & lift. If it is a pile, and not loading out of a dirt bank. try and go at the pile at different angles, working back and forth. Leave space between cuts, take a couple cuts forming points, then work off the points. Think of it as more like shaving off the face of the pile. curl the bucket a bit first, then lift & curl all at the same time, giving the cutting edge's sharp point the ability to cut, as it raises, instead of trying to lift a flat edge upward, while trying to deadhead into a pile. Just takes some seat time, to get the timing all together. It will all come together in one fluid motion.

Other wise, you may need to feather the clutch as you enter the pile, just don't slip it a lot. And, you really don't need high rpm's do do this. 1/3 to 1/2 throttle should be plenty, if the timing is right on the bucket loading cycle, and end up with a full bucket.
