case 580 k 4x4 ser. 1 question

hi all i just bought a 580 4x4 , needs a little fixin but runs great . the first thing i gotta get to is the left front knuckle u-joint. can i just remove the tire - tierod end-upper and lower king pin cap and slide out the shaft , or will i need to completey tear the hub apart?
