Case 2090 enginereplacement

My dad bouht a Case 2090 with the BD504 engine in it . It throw a bigend bearing 4 years ago. We had to replace the crankshaft.
Now we stand at that crossroad again !
Will a Cummings engine fit? And witch engine ?
What mods will we have to do ?

I would think a Cummins transplant would be difficult. The engine is structural in that tractor. The 504s were a very good engine. It would be much simpler to find another 504 if your's is not rebuildable.

Just buy another whole tractor. By the time you find a good engine to replace yours the money spent won't be much different. And I'm talking either way. Replacing with a Cummins or another 504. That tractor in good running condition is worth about $4000 around here.

Any of those. The 1370s had the 504 also. I would think it would be pretty easy to find another tractor with a good engine and bad transmission for a donor.
